Transcutaneous Oxygen Pressure as an Early Prognostic Marker for Wound Healing and Limb Salvage in Revascularization for Peripheral Arterial Disease: A Prospective Cohort Study
Keywords Transcutaneous oxygen pressure TcPO2 chronic limb-threatening ischemia peripheral arterial disease wound healing limb salvage ankle-brachial index 1 Introduction Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a common and progressive condition affecting an estimated 113 million people worldwide [1], whose most severe manifestation, chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI), is associated with a high risk of major amputation and mortality [2].
Proximal Aortic Landing Zone Dilation Following Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair for Type B Aortic Dissection: Incidence and Clinical Implications
Keywords aortic neck dilation AND proximal aortic landing zone dilation type B aortic dissection TBAD TEVAR stent graft 1 Introduction Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) has significantly advanced the management of thoracic aortic pathologies by providing a less invasive alternative to open surgery with favorable short- and long-term outcomes.

JCM | Free Full-Text | Low and High Ankle-Brachial Index Are Both Associated with Mortality in German Nursing Home Residents-The Five-Year Follow-Up of the “Allo-Study” Cohort
Abstract : Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is associated with high cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. We aimed to examine this relation in a population that tends to be under-represented in research on the topic. In a prospective observational cohort study, residents of 45 nursing homes in Germany were screened for pathological ankle-brachial index (ABI) and observed for five years. Of 1333 participants (median age 84 years), 55.5% had a pathological ABI (≤0.9 or >1.4) on one or both legs.
Long-Term Outcomes after Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair Using Chimney-Grafts for Aortic Arch Pathologies- 10 Years Single-Center Experience.
Abstract Purpose This study reports the early- and long-term outcomes of the thoracic endovascular aortic repair using the Chimney-Graft technique (ChTEVAR) for the treatment of aortic arch pathologies. Methods From January 2010 to December 2019, patients who underwent aortic ChTEVAR technique in our institution were included. Early, mid and long-term outcomes in this group of patients were evaluated.
A shorter aortic arch sealing ring (< 10mm) distal to the most distal chimney seems to be an additional important factor contributing to a gutter endoleak in aortic arch TEVAR
