Comcast takes on Google and AT&T with gigabit service in five cities
Comcast on Tuesday said it is planning to launch DOCSIS 3.1-powered gigabit Internet service in five cities across the country in 2016. That’s due to version 3.1 of DOCSIS, the Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification, which can bring gigabit download speeds without the need to deploy fiber to homes. In other areas, Comcast has charged subscribers $10 for every 50 gigabytes of data Internet data consumption over 300 gigabytes a month, or, as some say, $10 for a 50-gig bucket.

Comcast resets almost 200000 passwords after customer list goes on sale
About 200,000 Comcast customers have been asked to reset their passwords. Salted Hash informed Comcast about these accounts being sold. Comcast has reset the passwords of thousands of customers after a list of of account email addresses and passwords was offered up for sale online. The dark web consists of networks not available via the public Internet which can only be accessed through specific software.
