Exploring Defect Dynamics and Twin-Layer Interactions in SiC Crystals through Molecular Simulations
1. Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The escalating global energy demand, predicted to increase by 40% by 2040, (1) poses a significant challenge. In this context, improving the energy efficiency of power devices is crucial for reducing global consumption. The advancement of silicon carbide (SiC) technology promises a breakthrough in this area. In response, enhancing the energy efficiency of power devices through advances in SiC technology is crucial.
Gated Spin Manipulation in Bipolar Rashba Semiconductor: Janus TeSSe Monolayer
Gated Spin Manipulation in Bipolar Rashba Semiconductor: Janus TeSSe Monolayer It is very important to realize the electronically controlled spin direction for spintronics devices. Inspired by the Bipolar Rashba Semiconductor (BRS) concept recently proposed by Yang's group (J. Phys. Chem. Lett. 2023, 14, 11292), which presented a novel solution for spin precession manipulation using BRS. Through first-principles calculations, we confirm the Janus TeSSe is a BRS.
