How is social media changing news?
It brings it to market faster than ever before. On August 13, 2013 a roof at a McDonald's collapsed and I was there to catch the first image.

Henry Hackett "The Paper" (1984), played by Michael Keaton
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being able to get the information to those that can't get it themselves. Keeping the truth out front.

#oomf - I am actually guilty of using this tag in the past, but honestly it is kind of silly because you never really know who the subject i.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Professionally and in writing. Also, tell me why your story - even if it is obvious.

These days? Phone, Twitter, and our News Filing service at FTC Publications! Adobe CC for creative editing!

Twitter. No friend requests, no long notes. Quick, to the point to all your followers. In and Out. Easy.

Why did you become a journalist?
I like to talk and write.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes - It was the "Lair" at M.D. Collins High School. Both a writer and photographer.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
When congress reached a budget deal in 2010.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be honest, and get to know Larry Flynt. Seriously read up on him and learn something about the First Amendment.
When's the best time to pitch you?
No set time exists for me, but if you want the best response try the afternoons unless you ave something big breaking
