It means speaking truth to power, however it manifests. It means thorough research and providing context, not taking things for granted.

I use Linux operating systems, for security reasons, in support of the open-source movement. I also use Genios, WolframAlpha, FragDenStaat...

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Thorough research is key, keep your writing simple, kill your darlings, write first, then review, read your text aloud, follow your nose
