Predicting molecular docking of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances to blood protein using generative artificial intelligence algorithm DiffDock | BioTechniques
The risks to human health and environment of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs) have been a major concern in the current decade due to their prevalence in water, soil, air and food [1,2]. PFAs have been used in industrial manufacturing and consumer products due to their useful properties [3]. Current scientific research suggests that exposure to certain PFAs may be harmful to human health [4,5].
Quantitating Wastewater Characteristic Parameters Using Neural Network Regression Modeling on Spectral Reflectance
4.1. Answers to the Main Questions of the Study Question 1: What data preprocessing tasks must be performed on the WW spectral data to produce regression NN models with good prediction performance? Based on the results shown in , and , the WW dataset of a treatment facility may need to be grouped according to WW strength levels (high strength for Group 1 WW and low strength of Group 2 WW) for a better performance of NN models.

Predicting Molecular Docking Affinity of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAs) Towards Human Blood Proteins Using Generative AI Algorithm DiffDock
New Results doi: https://doi.org/10.1101/2023.08.03.551898 Abstract This study computationally evaluates the molecular docking affinity of various perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs) using a generative machine learning algorithm, DiffDock, specialized in protein-ligand blind-docking learning and prediction.

BioTech | Free Full-Text | Formulation of a Simulated Wastewater Influent Composition for Use in the Research of Technologies for Managing Wastewaters Generated during Manned Long-Term Space Exploration and Other Similar Situations-Literature-Based Compos
Abstract : The prospect of humans inhabiting planetary bodies is gaining interest among research and development communities, with the moon being considered as a transitory base camp and Mars the next planet humans will inhabit.
Using Self-Organizing Map Algorithm to Reveal Stabilities of Parameter Sensitivity Rankings in Microbial Kinetic Models: A Case for Microalgae
Abstract : Microalgae are multi-purpose microbial agents due to their capability to efficiently sequester carbon dioxide and produce valuable biomass such as protein and single-cell oils. Formulation and tuning of microalgae kinetics models can significantly contribute to the successful design and operation of microalgae reactors.
