Abstract Purpose: To identify factors influencing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remission and compare differences across intervention types and remission criteria. Methods: T2DM remission was defined as HbA1c < 6.5% (48 mmol/mol), measured at least 3 months after cessation of glucose-lowering pharmacotherapy. Relevant literature on factors influencing T2DM remission was searched in English-language databases, with the search updated through March 2026.
Abstract Background: Diabetes remission has evolved from an infrequently reported clinical observation into an increasingly defined and assessable outcome. Previous bibliometric studies have largely relied on the Web of Science and focused on literature published after 2000, limiting characterization of earlier knowledge foundations and long-term thematic change.
Abstract Objective: The predictive value of the Visceral Adiposity Index (VAI) for diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is unclear. This study systematically reviews the association of elevated VAI with DKD, as well as its predictive performance. Methods: PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and CBM were searched until December 1, 2025, for studies investigating VAI and DKD.
