After graduating from Columbia University’s Journalism School, I was a technology, economic and political reporter for Singapore’s English- and Chinese-language dailies, and then an investment writer producing analytical pieces on investing in Asian tech companies. Throughout my career, I:
- broke news across different beats, with some gaining international coverage;
- reported on trends that traced technology’s impact on, and fault lines in society;
- established the technology beat for one of Singapore’s main dailies;
was team lead for the economics beat for another daily and assisted in planning news coverage;
