Social alienation among older adults with cognitive frailty: a latent profile analysis
Abstract Background: The rising prevalence of cognitive frailty among older adults necessitates a deeper understanding of its psychosocial consequences. Social alienation, a critical yet understudied dimension, may exhibit significant heterogeneity in this vulnerable population, with distinct subgroups potentially requiring tailored interventions. Elucidating these patterns could inform more targeted geriatric care strategies.
Heterogeneous effect of saxagliptin on glucose fluctuation and β-cell function in T1DM: a multicentre, randomised trial - Nutrition & Diabetes
Abstract We aimed to explore whether saxagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-IV inhibitor, could ameliorate glucose fluctuations and maintain β-cell function in T1DM. A multicentre, open-label, randomised trial was performed, including 184 T1DM patients from six medical centres. These patients received insulin with or without saxagliptin at 5 mg per day for 24 weeks. The primary endpoint was the change from the baseline value of the MAGE, as measured by a CGMS after 24 weeks.

Outbreak of Cosmetology-Acquired Mycobacterium abscessus Skin Infection
Six patients presented to the dermatology department due to skin abscess of 1 month’s duration. They all underwent a catgut implant procedure at acupoint for treatment of obesity with materials made by the same manufacturer. The patients were treated with β-lactam antibiotics without improvement. Physical examination of multiple patients revealed numerous warm, red, edematous, tender, fluctuant, and purulent draining nodules on the abdomen (Figure, A).
Landslide Susceptibility Mapping Based on Information-GRUResNet Model in the Changzhou Town, China
4. Discussion In this paper, the original GRU model, RF model, and LR model, which are frequently used in regional landslide susceptibility mapping, are compared with the Information-GRUResNet model. Similar to the Information-GRUResNet model simulation process, the grid units representative of each susceptibility level are used as input variables to train the GRU, RF, and LR models.
