Crafting Hierarchical Nanochannels Within Boron Nitride 2D Nanofluidic Membranes for Enhanced Osmotic Energy Harvesting
1 Introduction Osmotic energy, also known as blue energy, is abundantly available in the salinity gradients between seawater and river water [1]. Reverse electrodialysis (RED) technology, which can directly convert such salinity gradient energy into electricity, has been widely used for harvesting osmotic energy [2, 3]. In recent years, the strategy of constructing nanofluidic membranes by restacking two-dimensional (2D) nanosheets has shown great potential for implementing RED [4-6].
A longitudinal inquiry into the vicious cycle of social media addiction and self-injury: the moderating role of resilience
Abstract Background: The reciprocal relationship between social networking addiction (SNA) and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) represents a critical, yet poorly understood, feedback loop in adolescent psychopathology. This study aimed to longitudinally test a “vicious cycle” model, examining the bidirectional effects between SNA and NSSI, and to investigate psychological resilience as a potential protective factor that could disrupt this harmful dynamic.

Phosphorylated Natural Bamboo Membrane for Osmotic Energy Harvesting
The development of low-cost and environment friendly ion-selective nanofluidic membranes with a high-performance is necessary for osmotic power generation. Natural bamboo membranes with a layered structure provides water and nutrients transport channels for bamboo growth. Here, we introduce ionized phosphate groups into natural bamboo membranes through a urea-assisted dehydration reaction between the hydroxyl groups in cellulose and phosphoric acid.

Aryl hydrocarbon receptor dependent anti-inflammation and neuroprotective effects of tryptophan metabolites on retinal ischemia/reperfusion injury - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract Glaucoma is the major cause of irreversible blindness in the world characterized by progressive retinal neurodegeneration, in which local inflammation in retina is involved in persistent loss of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs). In order to explore whether aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) and its agonists tryptophan metabolites are involved in the development of glaucoma, we collected serum and retinas from non-glaucoma controls and patients with glaucoma.
