I’m very excited to formally announce the Aira & AFB partnership. In the early days of Aira, I spent a significant amount of time meeting with the community to simply listen. In my meetings with AFB President Kirk Adams over the past year, he expressed interest in using technology to provide equal access and open up new opportunities. This alignment around equal access of information for all if core to our mission and the foundation for our great partnership with AFB.
Google technology executive, John Lee, has been named to Aira’s Technical Advisory Board. John’s broad global expertise in both business and startup environments includes spearheading next-generation machine learning integration, go-to-market strategies, consumer analytics, and cloud applications.
As the President of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), the nation’s largest organization of blind people, and a leading developer and proponent of technologies to help blind people live the lives we want, I have the opportunity to engage with many technology developers. It is very rare to come across a technology that is positioned to empower the user with information and take full advantage of the capacity of the individual.
