Nokia 2760 Flip activation/network issues
#1 My screen is bigger than yours Nokia 2760 Flip activation/network issues I have a new Nokia 2760 Flip tracfone that I just opened in order to activate it. It has the sim card already installed but there is no plan with it yet. After turning on, it searches for the network and keeps searching without finding or connecting to anything. Is this normal behavior before activation, or should it at least recognize the network but not allow calls because of no airtime or no assigned phone number??
TracFone In-Store Virtual Airtime Purchase
TracFone now offers "in-store virtual airtime purchase," allowing one to purchase airtime via the following process: 1. Text VAIR to 611611 2. Select an airtime plan 3. Receive a barcode 4. Scan the barcode at in-store register 5. Pay the cashier 6. Receive an airtime PIN If anyone has additional details, I would appreciate your insight: A. Do all stores that sell TracFone airtime cards support this method? If not, which ones do? B. After texting VAIR to 611611, how does one select an airtime plan? C.
TracFone - Orbic Journey V
Folks, A couple of comments on the TracFone Orbic Journey V. I'm a fan of flip phones and picked up a TracFone Orbic last year either through HSN or QVC. It has the 1200/1200/1200 annual bundle. I activated the phone a couple weeks ago and was surprised with two of the features it has: HotSpot capability and WiFi calling. None of the other TracFone flip phones have either of these features available when using TracFone service. The Wifi calling is a plus when in areas without cellular service. Eric

I have two of these flip phones that I bought as refurbs from the TracFone website a few years back. I activated one of them and used it for a while but the other one I never activated. I just went over and started to chat with a CSR and asked if it could be activated. I didn't say I wanted to activate it. They asked for the IMEI and the last four numbers of the SIM. He came back and asked if I wanted a new telephone number so I guess they can still be activated.
Setup question QVC phone

I believe the donor phone number gets wiped out and you end up with the recipient phone's number.
