Fatal Flaws in Yedlin’s HDR Critique
While our previous work detailed how this pattern manifests in his treatment of EOTFS and color spaces-like mistakenly calling BT.1886 a color space-this piece identifies the main problem: the reduction of the HDR format to a mere color space.
Should the forum title Ultra Hi-End HT Gear ($20,000+) be revised to ($40,000+)?
Given recent tariff news should the Ultra Hi-End HT Gear ($20,000+) be changed to ($40,000+)?

maybe a new category is better. Someone with less than a $3,000 budget isn't going to want to spend $6,000. What if they want to learn about projectors that are around $1000? The smaller price gaps sort of keep people in their lanes. It also creates a space where someone can ask about which budget DLP projector to buy without replies saying 'save up and buy a $6000 JVC NZ500 instead'. $3,000 and less? $3,000 - $10,000? $10,000+?
Your Next Doctor is a Scanner. Your Next Co-Worker is a Robot.
Will Snow · Follow 4 min read · -- For decades, we have been told that AI would change everything, from taking over jobs to diagnosing diseases and redefining entire industries. Until now, it has mostly been used for things we enjoy, such as creating art, composing music, and solving complex problems. That is starting to change. Today, a 15-minute full-body scan can assess your health more efficiently than a doctor.
When can employers refuse a casual conversion request under the new ‘employee choice’ framework?
From August this year, new legislation will allow casual employees who believe they are no longer casual to request permanent employment. Under the new laws, what will constitute reasonable grounds to refuse a conversion request? Following the recent passing of the Fair Work Amendment (Closing Loopholes No 2) Bill, employers will soon be subject to new laws governing the conversion of casual workers to permanent status – the ‘employee choice’ framework.
Component Boolean - Hide when True
Currently, using Figma component boolean properties, it only shows when true and hides when false. What if you could switch those around? For example, when something is true, it could show some elements, and hide others. For example, a product thumbnail- when “on sale” is true, show sale icon, show strikethrough price, but also hide original price and replace it with a bolded/colorful/what have you of price.
RTINGS what are you doing?
if you would have read the review which is very very short. in terms of CR it is scoring relative high and where it falls apart is brightness and why it is even added as a score pre calibration measurement where it is awful. if all PJ are taking in the same room (they have a special room to lower reflection and even talk about PJ CR been hard to measure because of the room.) they have the same issue. i can see why that device may shine when calibrated.
Are very old Projectiondesign F32 projectors any good in comparison to new $825 projectors?
#1 Should I be celebrating a great deal or lamenting after acting in haste? Are the old projectors I bought any good for watching blu-rays, dvds and some HDTV, in comparison to a new £650 ($825) projector? Would the higher street price and higher specs of a new projector be visible on the screen, and what other advantages would buying a new projector have provided if I had not looked at eBay and engaged in impulse buying.
Rtings & Projector Reviews
#2 · I think it will bring some interesting data points to the party to support those that felt much of what you read on forums is a massive fanboi contingency baking brands that haven't done much to innovate in the space over the last decade. I'm happy to see it. I typically lean pretty heavily into their reviews of TVs so I was bummed when I was in the market for a new PJ recently and discovered they didn't have any info for that segment. More information for consumers is always better.

Does home 3D have a assumed pupillary distance?
Discussion Starter · #1 · a moment ago Do home 3D blurays, bluray players, TVs and Projectors use a standard assumed pupillary distance for 3D objects at infinity? And if they do what is it? My bluray player under 3D settings has a screen size option. Which I presume is so 3D objects displayed at infinity do not have left right disparity exceeding the distance between the viewers left and right pupils.

For coach Mike Schnur, the relationship with Penn is lifelong
What is it like to dedicate your entire life to one institution? Perhaps no question is more pertinent to Penn swimming coach Mike Schnur. Schnur was just a junior in high school in 1982 when Kathy Lawlor-Gilbert convinced him to don the Red and Blue. Miserable and down on its luck, the swimming program needed a savior. Enter Schnur. “When I came here,” Schnur said, “Penn had just gone through a period where we had lost 10 years in a row.
The swan song of Penn swimming's Chris Swanson
There’s no other way of putting it — it’s the end of an era. Penn men’s swimming legend Chris Swanson has one meet left to bear the colors Red and Blue. Before an expected top-10 finish in the NCAA championship mile swim, though, it’s only fitting to take a look at his entire career for the Quakers. Nine Ivy League individual titles, three Penn and Ivy League records and two All-American honorable mentions — all for one swimmer.
As she looks to defend her Ivy title, Penn swimming's Virginia Burns reflects on how she got to where she is
Ask anybody, and they’ll tell you that college is the time to change who you are. But Penn swimming phenom Virginia Burns didn’t foresee the transformation she would undergo. When the sophomore sensation arrived on campus last year, she was a mid-level recruit for the women’s swimming team. Her strongest events were the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races, but something wasn’t right. As she and her coach agree, she wasn’t quite tapping into her full potential.

It was the Union's third game in a row allowing three goals, and the team has let up 14 goals in their last six MLS games. Soul easily defeat Kiss, 73-37
TRENTON - The Soul comfortably beat the L.A. Kiss, 73-37, in a game Saturday that was only technically at home. Because of next month's Democratic National Convention, the Soul were forced to vacate their home at the Wells Fargo Center and moved to the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton to host the Kiss, owned in part by Gene Simmons and the band Kiss. L.A. struggled to keep up with the Soul's fast-paced attack. "We were a little sluggish early on," Soul head coach Clint Dolezel said.
Soul lineman Keith Newell celebrates homecoming in Trenton
The Soul had to vacate the Wells Fargo Center this summer for the Democratic National Convention. They played all but two of their home games at the beginning of the season and have one of their two home games left on Saturday against the LA Kiss, which is named after its owners, the band Kiss. And while the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton - where the game will be played - may not feel like home for most of the team, Saturday's game for one player will be like a homecoming.
