What does it mean to be a journalist?
Some will tell you it's the pursuit of truth. It should be the pursuit of facts, which is better than truth. Truth is relative.

What's your favorite social network?
None. They are a useful tool, but I feel we are better off without them. They have helped destroy discourse.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The assassination of Dr. George Tiller. Up 27 hours straight reporting and anchoring.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be in it for the long haul. Be curious and ask questions. EVERYONE LIES. Use the scientific method to approach EVERY story. VET EVERYTHING!

By email, any time of day, especially if it is evergreen. In most cases, I will get back to you.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
The best pitch you will ever get will always turn out to be too good to be true. It falls apart under close scrutiny.
What's your favorite drink?
Not much of a drinker, but on the rare occasions I do, it's usually an expensive rum, either a sipping one or in a cocktail.
