A parallel-group randomized controlled trial was conducted in order to determine the effectiveness of SIT LESS: a 12-week, hybrid and personalized behaviour change intervention in addition to CR, with a primary focus on reducing and interrupting ST in CAD patients (Netherlands Trial Register: NL9263). The rationale and design of the SIT LESS trial has previously been described in detail including the sample size calculation [18].
