Win Jeanfreau’s Biography

Winthrop Edward Jeanfreau is an entrepreneur, executive, and civic educator with more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, finance, education, and firearms training. Over his career, he has founded 12 companies, with eight successful exits that generated more than $680 million in cumulative revenue impact. His work has included roles as a founder, executive, and educator, and he holds certifications in business analysis, financial services, and firearms instruction. He is also a published writer and a respected voice in constitutional education, dedicating himself to empowering others through knowledge and preparation.

Win Jeanfreau earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business from the University of Utah before completing an MBA at the University of Oregon. These academic foundations supported his ability to lead and grow organizations across different industries.

His entrepreneurial journey began in the 1990s when he established Kameleon International, a vending franchise system that expanded into 10 states. With a strong focus on scalable systems and proprietary intellectual property, Win developed models that ensured 100% franchisee longevity, an uncommon achievement in franchising. The company was eventually sold after becoming a profitable and proven enterprise. At the same time, he co-owned Shred-it Oregon, part of a national document destruction company. Competing against more than 100 other locations, his franchise became the fastest-growing and most profitable. He led sales efforts for three consecutive years, achieving record-breaking results before selling that business as well.

In 1999, he founded Aperion Audio, a direct-to-consumer high-fidelity audio company. Long before online retail giants became mainstream, he built a brand that delivered award-winning products worldwide. His leadership in engineering, manufacturing, and marketing positioned the company as a recognized name in the audio industry, and it was eventually sold.

Jeanfreau later co-founded a financial services firm in Portland that merged into one of Oregon’s leading independent wealth management companies. His client acquisition model included financial literacy seminars offered through community colleges, which benefited both institutions and individuals seeking financial guidance. That business was eventually merged into a larger national advisory firm.

From 2013 to 2018, he served at Utah Valley University in leadership roles, including Director of the Small Business Development Center and Acting Associate Vice-President of Academic Outreach and Economic Development. Under his direction, the Business Resource Center supported more than $20 million in capital infusion for local businesses, resulting in the creation of 143 jobs in three years.

In recent years, Win has worked in firearms training and constitutional education. As a certified instructor and Constitution Coach, he provides training in safety, accuracy, and situational awareness, while also guiding citizens in understanding their constitutional rights and responsibilities.

His service also extends into the community and faith. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New England, spent six years as a Scoutmaster, four years as a Civil Air Patrol Captain, and continues to support charitable efforts. He also served on the Women’s Leadership Forum board.

His professional credentials include certifications in business analysis, Franklin Covey training, Crucial Conversations, Profit Mastery, and several other business-focused programs. He has also written articles on business strategy, spoken at conferences and executive forums, and shared insights on radio programs. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys hiking, tennis, scuba diving, motorcycling, piloting, and time with his family. Win Jeanfreau is not only accomplished in his professional pursuits but also dedicated to service, community, and family values.
