WomenConnect celebrates first anniversary
It’s hard to believe WomenConnect only began last February. In one year, this community has grown into something truly remarkable. What started as a simple vision — to create opportunities where women could share their passions and skills — has blossomed into a vibrant network of 350 women who have discovered that one of our greatest resources is each other. Whether you taught a workshop, organized a gathering or showed up to participate, you are the spirit of this group.

10 inventions which wouldn’t exist without these incredible Black women.
Dr. Thomas was born in Maryland, USA in 1943, and is an American scientist and inventor. She invented the Illusion Transmitter, known to us as a 3D image. As a child, Valerie was interested in science and used to watch her father build and take apart their TV and was intrigued after seeing the mechanical parts inside. At just eight years old, Valerie read The Boys First Book on Electronics, which sparked her interest in a career in science.
Chatting to Loriane
This week we had the privilege of catching up with Loriane, founder of Woman To Woman, a digital media platform designed to narrate the stories of women, creating safe spaces for conscious conversation, and sharing experiences to help empower women worldwide. Loriane recently finished her Masters studies in Organisation Psychiatry and Psychology, focusing on strategic interventions in workplaces and mental health within the workplace. She is currently working in HR and growing Woman To Woman.
New online programme backed by Mayor of London to support diverse entrepreneurs
We're really excited to announce FutureStartupNow Founders, a new five-week online training programme which will support twenty-five entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas. The programme is part of the Mayor of London’s Digital Talent Programme which aims to prepare, coach and support young people (18-24) in the planning and development of a start-up and is delivered by London’s leading employability programme Create Jobs in partnership with careers community Hustle Crew.
