What was your first job as a journalist?

An article in the Community Press in Cincinnati. I learned the YMCA I frequented had plans for a water park. I pitched the article. Got it.

Email a press release pasted in the body of an email or a short intro with a link to more information.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Google docs. Love it.

Why did you become a journalist?

To inform the public and add my voice as part of the solution.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Forget about labels and credentials. Write. Read. Work on your craft. The process is your education.

What's your favorite drink?

Coffee
