AMD confirms its Zen 7 and Zen 8 roadmap for 2028 and 2030

Gamers get Nvidia GeForce GPUs working with ARM CPUs on Windows

Open Source Openprinter almost ready to launch

RPCS3 moves closer to PS3 emulation without Sony Firmware

Until now, RPCS3 relied on loading PlayStation 3 firmware and utilising Sony code to utilise this feature. This step brings RPCS3 one step closer to its long-term goal of operating without PlayStation 3 firmware.
AMD’s Ryzen 7 7700X3D is now available, and its price doesn’t make sense

Today, that CPU is available worldwide, and its price is a mess. As it stands, this CPU retails at a price similar to AMD’s faster Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and in some cases, the 7800X3D costs less. AMD’s Ryzen 7 7700X3D is a Ryzen 7800X3D with lower clock speeds.
OpenAI hardware has arrived, and I’m not impressed

For $230, it is an expensive add-on for OpenAI Codex users, and while the device appears to be of high quality, it is hard to see this device as anything more than a glorified Elgato Stream Deck.
Valve reverses course on Steam Deck LCD battery “sunset”
iFixit will be getting the same OEM parts sourced through Valve’s partners that they always have. – Valve Spokesperson – Kaci Aitchison Boyle Valve has reportedly chosen to continue manufacturing the Steam Deck LCD’s battery, and has given iFixit the information they need to maintain support when they discontinue official parts. No long-term production commitment has been made for the Steam Deck LCD’s other parts. This includes the device’s screen.
Mario Kart Wiicompiled unveiled for PC

The first beta release for this unofficial Mario Kart Wii PC version will arrive in August.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’s Patch 1.04 fixes the game’s 30 FPS issue on PC

MSI delivers high-speed CXMT DDR5 memory support on AMD and Intel platforms

With MSI Z890 motherboards, DDR5-8000+ memory speeds are now available with CXMT-based DDR5 modules. This news follows reports that CXMT will soon have a DRAM wafer capacity comparable to that of Micron.
Gears of War: E-Day will be RTX-On at launch

CXMT could match Micron’s memory manufacturing capacity this year, research claims

ASML’s High NA EUV tech enters volume production with Intel 18A

This is the first time that High NA EUV machines have been used to produce high-volume silicon. In 2024, Intel installed ASML’s first-generation EXE:5000 High-NA EUV machine for research purposes.
Over 75% of all PS3 games are now “Playable” on RPCS3

This update confirms massive progress on the PS3 emulator, which had only reached 70% playability this January. Playable games in RPCS3 can be “completed with playable performance and no game-breaking glitches”. Additional games can be played with RPCS3 on PCs with higher-end PC hardware or with game patches/mods.
HWMonitor enables Nvidia RTX 50 series “GPU HotSpot” temperature support

This is a first for a standard Windows PC application. Meta has “Multiple Next-Generation (VR) Headsets” in the works

Xbox could launch “Positron” disc-to-digital system this week to Insiders

Apple plans HUGE 3x memory upgrade with its M7 Ultra
