Passive Mapping of Hand Motor Cortex across Altered States of Consciousness
Abstract Objective To evaluate the ability of median nerve stimulation (MNS)-induced high gamma band (HGB) activity in mapping the hand motor cortex at different states of consciousness. Methods Five patients undergoing awake craniotomy were recruited. MNS-induced electrocorticographic signals were recorded from awake to anesthetic states, with the loss of consciousness (LOC) session divided into three stages (LOC1, LOC2, and LOC3) based on conscious level.
Comprehensive Warming Assessment in a High‐Altitude Region: Observational Evidence From Qinghai Province, Northwest China
1 Introduction According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), global surface temperatures have increased by 0.85°C from 1880 to 2012 (Stocker, 2014). Global warming is widely studied, with numerous works documenting its impacts across various systems and regions (Parmesan & Yohe, 2003).

Roles and mechanisms of leptomeningeal collaterals in human distal MCA territory ischemia
Abstract Objective: Leptomeningeal collaterals (LMCs) provided hemodynamic support and reperfusion during acute ischemic stroke (AIS). Although regulation details have been deeply acquired from animal models, human cortex may share limited hemodynamic patterns due to larger physical scale that needs further investigation.

A Study on the Formation of Fiber Texture in the Subsurface Layer of Hot-Rolled Plate of 3.2%Si Grain-Oriented Steel
1. Introduction Grain-oriented silicon steel has been widely used as a soft magnetic material in the power industry; the sharpness of secondary recrystallization Goss texture [1,2] determines the magnetic properties of grain-oriented silicon steel [3].
Research on Multiphase Flow and Nozzle Wear in a High-Pressure Abrasive Water Jet Cutting Head
Abstract : Research on the mixing process of gas–liquid–solid multiphase flow in a high-pressure abrasive water jet (HP-AWJ) is of great significance in improving the performance of water jet cutting. In this paper, the Euler method-VOF model, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation method, is used to solve the multiphase flow of air–water in an abrasive water jet (AWJ). The Euler–Lagrange method is further used to study the multiphase flow of abrasive particles.
Brain perfusion, cognition, and plasma Alzheimer's biomarkers in moyamoya disease
4.3 Interpretation In summary, our observations highlight the strength of vascular disease in dementia. The cognitive impairment in MMD was discovered more than a decade ago, but whether there is AD-like pathology (Aβ and tau) in MMD is unclear. We specifically investigated patients with pure CBH etiology and examined the link between accumulated reductions in CBF and cognitive decline, as well as the possible role of AD-like pathological burden.
Accurate and efficient internal deformation measurement of multiphase/porous materials via segmentation-aided digital volume correlation
Abstract In using the regular subvolume-based digital volume correlation (R-DVC) method, calculation points should be defined at the real material phase, and the local deformation within the interrogated subvolumes is assumed to be continuous. However, this basic assumption in R-DVC analysis is often violated when measuring the deformation near the interface when dealing with multiphase materials (including porous materials) or contact problems.
Accurate internal deformation measurement of an indentation test using micro-CT and self-adaptive digital volume correlation
Abstract Mechanical indentation testing is a widely used technique for determining local mechanical properties of materials. Accurate measurement of internal deformation in the indentation test is necessary for further study of material properties. Therefore, an in situ experimental measurement strategy combining micro-CT imaging and self-adaptive digital volume correlation (SA-DVC) is proposed.

A non-peptide probe for detecting chymotrypsin activity based on protection-deprotection strategy in living systems
A non-peptide probe for detecting chymotrypsin activity based on protection-deprotection strategy in living systems Chymotrypsin (CHT) plays a vital role in the metabolism of organisms, and affects the cell proliferation and apoptosis. Abnormal level of CHT will lead to a variety of diseases, such as inflammatory arthritis, diabetes, pharyngitis, indigestion, and pancreatic cancer. Therefore, it is significant to design an effective method for the dection of CHT in living systems.
Coumarin-Based TICT Fluorescent Probe for Real-Time Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging of Mitochondrial Viscosity and Systemic Inflammation in vivo
Coumarin-Based TICT Fluorescent Probe for Real-Time Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging of Mitochondrial Viscosity and Systemic Inflammation in vivo Systemic inflammation, linked with abnormal mitochondrial viscosity, is reported to associate with cerebro-cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer's disease. Therefore, it is of great significance to detect the mitochondrial viscosity to indicate the inflammatory signal in vivo.

Uranium record from a 3 m snow pit at Dome Argus, East Antarctica
Understanding the distribution and transport of Uranium is important because it can lead to both chemical and radiological toxicity. This study presents the Uranium concentrations time series from 1964 to 2009 obtained from a 3 m deep snow pit at Dome Argus, East Antarctic Plateau. The data shows that Uranium concentrations vary from 0.0067 pg g -1 to 0.12 pg g -1 , with a mean concentration of 0.044 pg g -1 .
Imaging of Carotid Artery Inflammatory Plaques with Superparamagnetic Nanoparticles and an External Magnet Collar
Stroke is a top-three fatal disease in human history. Inflammatory injury of the artery endo-membrane system is widely accepted as the major starting mechanism of the formation and enlargement of the atherosclerosis plaque, which can be generally diagnosed by B-ultrasound or carotid angiography. However, massive clinic data reveals that there are far more asymptomatic patients not being diagnosed until the stenosis degree is over 70%.
