Systematic Characterisation and Analysis of Lysyl Oxidase Family Members as Drivers of Tumour Progression and Multiple Drug Resistance
1 Introduction The tumour microenvironment (TME), which plays a pivotal role in cancer initiation and progression, comprises a diverse array of cellular components including fibroblasts, endothelial cells, immunocytes and adipocytes, as well as the extracellular matrix (ECM). Interaction between the ECM and tumour/stromal cells orchestrates fundamental processes in cancer development, spanning cell proliferation, migration, invasion, angiogenesis and immune evasion.
Targeting SLITRK4 Restrains Proliferation and Liver Metastasis in Colorectal Cancer via Regulating PI3K/AKT/NFκB Pathway and Tumor‐Associated Macrophage
1 Introduction Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most prevalent neoplasm (10%) and the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality (9.4%) all over the world.[1] Beyond half of CRC, patients eventually suffer from liver metastasis during tumor development, which significantly affects the 5-year survival rate.

Exogenous H2S switches cardiac energy substrate metabolism by regulating SIRT3 expression in db/db mice
Hydrogen sulfide (H S) is involved in diverse physiological functions, such as anti-hypertension, anti-proliferation, regulating ATP synthesis, and reactive oxygen species production. Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) is a NAD + -dependent deacetylase that regulates mitochondrial energy metabolism. The role of H S in energy metabolism in diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) may be related to regulate SIRT3 expression; however, this role remains to be elucidated.
