Volcano-hydrothermal phosphorus pulses fostered ocean oxidation during Ediacaran phosphogenesis in South China
Abstract Phosphorus availability limits marine productivity and influences ocean oxygenation, yet the mechanisms driving phosphorus enrichment in Ediacaran oceans remain uncertain. Here we present petrographic and geochemical data from phosphorites of the Ediacaran Doushantuo Formation at the Longxi section, South China.
New Insights into Heavy Metal Sequestration Through Metal‐Phenolic Network‐Confined Nano‐HFO: Overlooking Iron Utilization and Modulating Electron Density
1 Introduction Heavy metal contamination from industrial activities such as mining, smelting, and chemical production has become a critical environmental issue.[1] These metals, even at trace concentrations, easily migrate through aqueous environments, entering the food chain and bioaccumulating organisms, which poses significant risks to human health.[2] Technologies for capturing heavy metal ions include adsorption,[3] chemical precipitation,[4] membrane separation,[5] and electrochemical...
Maritime Target Radar Detection and Tracking via DTNet Transfer Learning Using Multi-Frame Images
1. Introduction Radar, as an effective tool for maritime monitoring, is widely applied in various fields such as maritime transport, rescue operations, and fishery detection [1,2,3]. Among these applications, target detection and tracking are recognized as the primary tasks of maritime surveillance radars. Traditional target detection methods primarily utilize manually designed scale-invariant features [4] and histograms of oriented gradients (HOGs) [5].

Comment on: ‘Reduced Temporal Muscle Thickness Predicts Shorter Survival in Patients Undergoing Chronic Subdural Haematoma Drainage’ by Korhonen et al. - Du - Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle - Wiley Online Library
We have taken a keen interest in the recent article titled ‘Reduced temporal muscle thickness predicts shorter survival in patients undergoing chronic subdural haematoma drainage’ by Korhonen and colleagues [1]. The study reveals a significant correlation between the reduced temporal muscle thickness (TMT), measured preoperatively via computed tomography (CT) scans and the shortened postoperative survival period in patients who have undergone chronic subdural haematoma (CSDH) drainage surgery.

Comment: Cerebrospinal Fluid Pharmacokinetics of Nicardipine Following Intrathecal Administration in Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Patients
To the Editor, We recently read with great interest the article by Sadan et al.1 This study, using data from 16 subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) patients, successfully developed a population pharmacokinetic (popPK) model to describe the nicardipine disposition kinetics in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) following intrathecal (IT) administration. However, we noted that the authors may have overlooked several important factors during the execution of the study.
