Kinetically inert covalent adaptable networks enable holistic resource recovery from high-performance printed circuit boards
Abstract The massive accumulation of electronic waste (e-waste) globally demands sustainable strategies for printed circuit boards (PCBs), a goal currently hindered by the pervasive use of irreversibly cured epoxy resins. Here, a kinetically inert covalent adaptable network (CAN) is designed for recyclable high-performance PCB based on gem-dimethyl dithioketal (gTK) epoxy resins.
Fullerene-derived hierarchical sp 2 carbon exhibiting united hardness, elasticity, and thermal stability
Abstract Carbon materials possess attractive mechanical and thermal properties, yet creating bulk sp²-bonded carbon that unites high hardness, elastic recoverability, and thermal stability has remained elusive. Mechanical anisotropy, low damage tolerance, and structural instability under stress or at high temperatures hinder the development of dense sp²-carbon architectures for demanding environments.
Thioketal-Based Polymers for Biomedical Applications: Structure Design, Properties, And Perspectives Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are highly enriched in pathological microenvironments such as inflammation, tumors, and ischemia-reperfusion, providing an endogenous trigger for on-demand drug release, degradation, and clearance. The thioketal (TK) moiety is stable under normal physiological conditions but undergoes oxidative cleavage in elevated ROS environments, making it a foundational motif for designing ROS-responsive polymers.

A missense mutation in a patient with developmental delay affects the activity and structure of the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway enzyme AGX1
Abstract O‐GlcNAcylation is a post‐translational modification catalysed by O‐GlcNAc transferase (OGT). Missense mutations in OGT have been associated with developmental disorders, OGT‐linked congenital disorder of glycosylation (OGT‐CDG), which are characterized by intellectual disability. OGT relies on the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway (HBP) for provision of its UDP‐GlcNAc donor.
