Optimization design of combined proppants for hydraulic fracturing in tight sandstone reservoirs of yanchang oilfield
Abstract The tight sandstone gas reservoirs in the Yanchang Oilfield (Ordos Basin) represent a pivotal target for efficient unconventional hydrocarbon development in China. However, high closure stress in deep formations readily induces proppant crushing, embedment, and rapid fracture conductivity decline, while single proppants fail to balance conductivity performance and material cost, severely restricting the effectiveness of reservoir stimulation.
Family coping profiles in patients with chronic heart failure: a latent profile analysis
Abstract Background: Family coping is integral to chronic heart failure management, yet systematic research on how families collectively cope remains limited. This study aimed to identify distinct family coping patterns among CHF patients and examine their associations with sociodemographic factors, fatigue, and family functioning. Design: This cross-sectional study was conducted in China.
Association between red cell distribution width and all-cause mortality in patients with congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation
Abstract Background The role of red cell distribution width (RDW) in critically ill patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) and atrial fibrillation (AF), requiring intensive care unit (ICU) admission, remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the association between RDW and the clinical prognosis of critically ill patients with CHF and AF. Methods This retrospective observational cohort study utilised data from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care-IV (MIMIC IV2.2) database.
Loss of DNA methyltransferase 3a enhances Caspase-8 transcription and promotes cardiomyocyte pyroptosis during myocardial infarction
Abstract Aspartate-specific cysteine protease (Caspase)-8 plays a critical role in initiating pyroptosis by mediating cleavage and activation of gasdermin-D (Gsdmd) during Yersinia infection. However, the role of Caspase-8 in pyroptosis after myocardial infarction (MI) and its underlying mechanism remains elusive. Here we show that Caspase-8 is essential for cardiomyocyte pyroptosis post MI and Caspase-8/Gsdmd signaling pathway is activated in hearts of male infarcted mice.
Mitigating Human-Large Carnivore Conflicts via Time‐Regulated Management of Free‐Ranging Livestock in the Sanjiangyuan Region, China
1 Introduction Human–wildlife conflict (HWC) represents one of the most critical challenges to sustainable development on a global scale (Braczkowski et al. 2023; Van Eeden et al. 2017), particularly in populated areas adjacent to protected regions (Ma et al. 2020).
FAM-related prognostic molecular subtype screening identified epithelial-derived MAOA-inhibiting bladder cancer
Abstract Introduction: Fatty acid metabolism (FAM) is essential for cancer cell proliferation and progression, contributing to membrane synthesis, energy storage, and signaling molecule production. However, effective therapeutic strategies targeting FAM are yet to be established in clinical practice. This study aimed to develop a novel FAM-related prognostic signature for bladder cancer (BLCA) and investigate its biological and clinical significance.

Long‐term biochar application promoted soil aggregate‐associated potassium availability and maize potassium uptake
1 INTRODUCTION Potassium (K) plays a vital role in crop growth and development since it is closely related to many physiological processes during plant growth (Almeida et al., 2015; Roemheld & Kirkby, 2010; Zörb et al., 2014). Not all forms of K in the soil can be utilized by plants, the most plant-available form is water-soluble potassium (WSK), which only accounts for 0.1%–0.2% of the soil total K (TK).

餐厨垃圾堆肥对城郊菜田产量及氮利用的影响
The aims were to investigate the effects of kitchen waste compost on soil nitrogen(N)supply level, the yield of leaf vegetable, residual N in soil profile and N use efficiency(NUE)in peri-urban vegetable field.Treatment without N-fertilizer was used as control(CK).Under the condition of equal N,four treatments including the conventional chemical fertilizer(NPK),the conventional chemical fertilizer with Chicken manure(NPK+M),aerobic kitchen waste compost with chemical fertilizer(NPK+FWA),and...
GPC1 promotes the growth and migration of colorectal cancer cells through regulating the TGF-β1/SMAD2 signaling pathway
GPC1 regulates the TGF-β1/SMAD2 signaling pathway To explore the mechanism underlying the involvement of GPC1 in CRC, we first analyzed the possible signaling pathways mediated by GPC1 by bioinformatics assay using “limma” bioconductor to identify the RNAs related to GPC1. The GPC1-related RNAs are shown in a heatmap in Fig 6A. Next, we used GO enrichment analysis on the target genes that were screened (Fig 6B). We then predicted the relationships between GPC1-related target genes (Fig 6C).
