120 Seconds - Mishpacha
For my newly born grandson, life is short. It lasts only 120 seconds. He will never see the sun rise, he will never have a birthday, he will never meet his big sister. He will never feel his mother’s embrace, nor experience the thrill of his father lifting him into the air, making him squeal in delight. Before he has a chance to live, he’s gone. The pain is greater because the delivery is punctuated with the doctor’s mistakes.
Enhancing Our Spiritual Relationship With G-d
Photo Credit: Mosaica Press Title: Attached, Connection to Our Creator: A Jewish Psychological Approach Rabbi Yaakov Danishefsky Mosaica Press Whether we feel that G-d is our father, our king, our friend or our beloved, we Jews are always intimately connected to Him. So how does one enter into, maintain and grow in a relationship with a being so unlike ourselves?
A Chopped Competition
Hello kiddos, This is Professor Mordy Maven, Thinker, Wonderer, and Figure-Outer of all things Science-ish. Which basically means that I try really hard to figure stuff out. I do the hard work so you don’t have to! On Sunday, my sister decided to organize a Chopped competition. I was really excited because I love chopping things! Then she explained that it was actually a cooking competition to see who could make the best-tasting meal. Sigh.

Why Do Onions Make You Cry?
Let me share something personal with you people. Recently, I was in my kitchen sobbing. Not because I stubbed my toe. (Although I did. Ouch!) I was weeping over my vegetables. What? Vegetables don’t make you cry? I’ll bet they would if you were chopping onions! When I finished sobbing and sniffling, I wiped my eyes and got to thinking. Why do onions make you cry? First of all, I have to admit that I don’t actually know why anything makes you cry. Honestly, we’ve just met and I don’t know you that well.
