Yeasha Sobhan

Yeasha Sobhan is the vice chairman of Safwan Bashundhara Global (SBG) and Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd., which has become one of the fastest-growing divisions in the group’s portfolio. She has worked to expand the product range to include paper, tissue, and hygiene products. As part of the executive team of Bangladesh’s largest business group, she has earned recognition as an accomplished leader. Her focus on diversity and inclusion informs her leadership style, and she is recognized for making decisions with empathy and clear communication.

Yeasha has managed the growth of eco-friendly paper solutions and directed marketing and business operations across several critical strategic business units. These efforts have increased revenue and expanded the company’s customer base. In 2018, she received the Bangladesh Women Leadership Excellence Award for her strong vision and effective management.

Yeasha has faced and overcome many challenges that women in executive positions often encounter. Her determination and commitment to clear goals have enabled her to deliver results that consistently meet and exceed expectations. Her leadership has also supported the country’s economy by contributing to domestic production and retaining revenue within Bangladesh.

In addition to her role at Safwan Bashundhara Global (SBG), she has played a central part in Toggi Real Estate and Construction Limited and The Food Hall. At Toggi, she has led projects focused on developing residential and commercial properties, with an emphasis on sustainability and modern design. With The Food Hall, she has established a dining brand known for offering quality experiences.

She has introduced advanced Effluent Treatment Plants at the paper mills to manage wastewater responsibly and earned certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 and FSC-CoC. Her marketing work has built brands including Bashundhara Tissue, Bashundhara Baby Diaper, and Monalisa Sanitary Napkins. She has also supported the Bashundhara Special Children Foundation, helping raise awareness about autism and provide care for children with special needs. Yeasha Sobhan continues to lead with purpose and dedication to progress.
