4. Materials and Methods 4.1. Samples From March 2007 to January 2019, 336 BA infants treated with Kasai surgery from Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine were recruited in this study [15]. All participants were biologically unrelated Chinese individuals. BA was diagnosed by clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, imaging examinations and confirmed by operative cholangiography.
