What an amazing experience! I took the 5 day/4 night Salkantay trek with Valencia Travel to get here. It was hard going at times but well worth it. At 5:20 am we got in line for the bus that takes you up to Machu Picchu. Even this early it is very busy and the line was long. There were plenty of buses and the line moved pretty quickly. The bus ride up to the Machu Picchu entrance takes about 30 minutes but then there is another line to enter with your passport and tickets ready.

It is the 9th largest city in the US with the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro area having a population of over 6.5 million. The first thing you will notice about the city is its iconic skyline filled with modernist (Reunion Tower, JFK Memorial, I.M. Pei's Dallas City Hall) and postmodernist (Fountain Place, Bank of America Plaza, Renaissance Tower, JPMorgan Chase Tower, Comerica Bank Tower) buildings.
