Coxiella burnetii effector CelF reprograms host proteostasis via competitive disruption of the UBQLN1-PSMD4 axis to stabilize autophagic SNARE SNAP29 and modulate lysosomal metabolic maturation
Abstract Introduction: The ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and autophagy-lysosome pathway constitute the core proteolytic metabolic networks that maintain cellular protein homeostasis (proteostasis) and organelle metabolic identity. Intracellular pathogens frequently reprogram host metabolic pathways to establish replicative niches, yet how they manipulate proteostatic metabolism to remodel organelle maturation remains incompletely understood.
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy contribute to developmental and metabolic multimorbidity in preterm infants
Abstract Preterm birth poses a global health challenge, frequently resulting in complex infant multimorbidity. While the adverse effects of maternal hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) on offspring are well recognized, their specific impact on distinct multimorbidity patterns in very preterm infants remains underexplored. In this multicenter cohort study, we utilize the Sino-northern Neonatal Network (SNN) database to systematically characterize these profiles.

Full article: Integrated pharmacoanalysis, bioinformatics analysis, and experimental validation to identify the ingredients and mechanisms of Xiao-Luo-Wan in uterine fibroids treatment
Abstract Context Xiao-Luo-Wan (XLW), a classical prescription in traditional Chinese medicine, has therapeutic effects on uterine fibroids (UFs). Herein, its anti-UF effects were examined using a systematic pharmacological method. Objective To explore the active ingredients of XLW via mass spectrometry and its potential effects on UFs by network pharmacology, molecular docking, and experimental validation.
Freeze-Thaw Damage Degradation Model and Life Prediction of Air-Entrained Concrete in Multi-Year Permafrost Zone
1. Introduction Generally speaking, frozen soil comprises a variety of rocks and soil types at temperatures below 0 °C containing ice. Depending on its freezing state and duration, frozen soil can be divided into short-term frozen soil, seasonally frozen soil, and permafrost, which can be further divided into unstable permafrost (above −0.5 °C), sub-stable permafrost (−0.5 °C to −3 °C), and stable permafrost (below −3 °C) according to the average annual ground temperature.
Characterizing the Internal Structure of Chinese Steamed Bread during Storage for Quality Evaluation Using X-ray Computer Tomography
1. Introduction Chinese steamed bread (CSB) is a traditional staple food in China, popular with consumers due to its soft and delicious taste, high nutritional value, and affordable price [1]. At present, the demand for CSB is greatly increasing, with an annual consumption of more than 21 million tons. It is very important to realize the industrial production of CSB in order to meet market demands.
Invasive fungal infection is associated with antibiotic exposure in preterm infants: A multicentre prospective case-control study
Previous antibiotic exposure is an important risk factor of invasive fungal infection (IFI). Antibiotic overexposure is common in lower-income countries; however, multicentre studies concerning IFI in relation to antibiotic exposure are scarce. A prospective, multicentre matched case-control study to explore the correlation of IFI in relation to antibiotic exposure in very preterm infants or very-low-birth-weight infants admitted to 23 tertiary hospitals in China between 2018 and 2021.
Rapid Identification of Insecticide- and Herbicide-Tolerant Genetically Modified Maize Using Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy
Abstract : Genetically modified (GM) technology is of great significance for increasing crop production, protecting biodiversity, and reducing environmental pollution. However, with the frequent occurrence of safety events regarding GM foods, more and more disputes have arisen over the potential safety of transgenic technology. It is particularly necessary to find a fast and accurate method for transgenic product identification.

Redox Potential Regulation Toward Suppressing Hydrogen Evolution in Aqueous Sodium-ion Batteries: Na1.5Ti1.5Fe0.5(PO4)3
Redox Potential Regulation Toward Suppressing Hydrogen Evolution in Aqueous Sodium-ion Batteries: Na1.5Ti1.5Fe0.5(PO4)3 Aqueous sodium-ion batteries (ASIBs) show superior characteristics with high safety and low cost for large scale energy storage systems.
Ionospheric gravity waves driven by oceanic gravity waves in resonance: A modeling study in search of their spectra
Ionospheric observations associated with the 2011 Tohoku tsunami have revealed gravity waves having spectral characteristics that depend on their proximity to the epicenter. There is a preponderance of medium scale waves in the vicinity of the epicenter, a significant bifurcation into short and long period waves over the Hawaiian archipelago, and a narrow and rich spectrum of waves over the west coast and inland of the United States (US).
