Abstract In mining metal deposits, blasting fragmentation is a key indicator that directly affects production efficiency and economic costs. To address the limitations of current post-blast assessment, which overlooks the intrinsic relationship between in-situ fragmentation (geological characterization of in-situ rock mass discontinuities) and the resulting blasting fragmentation, this paper proposes a quantitative prediction model and methodology for blasting fragmentation.
1 Introduction Geothermal energy, as a clean, efficient, and renewable energy source, plays an increasingly important role in the global energy transition and the pursuit of carbon neutrality (“dual-carbon” goals). In particular, the development of hot dry rock (HDR) resources through Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) has become a key pathway for the efficient utilization of deep geothermal energy.
