What was your first job as a journalist?
Interviewing my elementary teacher and sending it into "Highlights For Childre". It did not get published.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To look for the answers others might miss and to provide enough information for others to come to accurate conclusions of the truth.

#coachella it's become an photoshopped instagram nightmare that somehow is "real news"

Why did you become a journalist?
I enjoy writing and getting better at the written word. Journalism is an outlet for that.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
no. Skipped that one. But did my freshman year of college!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Right now, it's a toss-up between two pieces. "Dremel Vs Rotozip" or the CUNY.EDU piece on "Construction Management Degrees"
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
"Can I Get featured if I pay you?"

In my garage

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That All I do is tool reviews! Yes, I have to pay the bills, but I can also do "Real" pieces!
