Photocatalytic therapy via photoinduced redox imbalance in biological system - Nature Communications
Abstract Redox balance is essential for sustaining normal physiological metabolic activities of life. In this study, we present a photocatalytic system to perturb the balance of NADH/NAD+ in oxygen-free conditions, achieving photocatalytic therapy to cure anaerobic bacterial infected periodontitis. Under light irradiation, the catalyst TBSMSPy+ can bind bacterial DNA and initiate the generation of radical species through a multi-step electron transfer process.
Fluorescent robust photoactuator via photo-crosslinking induced single-layered janus polyimide - Nature Communications
Abstract Advanced smart polymer materials with the ability of reversible deformation under external stimuli hold great potential in robotics, soft machines, and flexible electronics. However, the complexity and low efficiency for fabricating actuators along with their limited functionality hinder further progress. Here an efficient and mild catalyst-free thiol-yne click polymerization was developed to fabricate photosensitive polyimide (PI) films.
Study on the Transient Absorption Spectroscopy of a D-π-A Structure Aggregation-Induced Emission Luminogen and Its Photodynamic Therapy Application
Study on the Transient Absorption Spectroscopy of a D-π-A Structure Aggregation-Induced Emission Luminogen and Its Photodynamic Therapy Application Photodynamic therapy (PDT) represents an emerging and noninvasive modality that has gained clinical approval for the treatment of cancers, leveraging photosensitizers for optimal therapeutic efficacy. In this study, we synthesized a photosensitizer (denoted as DTCSPP) exhibiting a donor-π-acceptor (D-π-A) structural motif.
Aggregative Luminescence from CsPbBr3 Perovskite Precursors
Introduction Over the past decade, perovskite materials have sparked a revolution in the field of optoelectronic semiconductors, achieving remarkable advancements in areas such as solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and photodetectors.1 Notably, devices prepared by solution processes have emerged as the dominant approach in both academic investigations and industrial applications.

Tuning Molecule Diffusion to Control the Phase Separation of p-DTS(FBTTh2)2/EP-PDI Blend System via Thermal Annealing
Interpenetrating bulk-heterojunction structure with domain size of 10-20 nm is the ideal morphology for carrier generation, separation and transportation in organic solar cells.
Evolution of Morphology and Open-circuit Voltage in Alloy-Energy Transfer Coexisted Ternary Organic Solar Cells
The oligomer-type small molecule PDT2FBT-ID is applied in a polymer/small molecule/fullerene ternary system. The PTB7-Th/PDT2FBT-ID/PC71BM ternary active layer shows complementary absorption spectra, enhanced face-on orientation and energy transfer property. Comparing to binary system, the FF of ternary system is improved from 66.72% to 76.14% and the Jsc is improved from 17.90 mA cm?2 to 18.92 mA cm?2. The maximum 11.1% PCE is obtained in ternary system with common inverted devices structure.
Fluorination-enabled optimal morphology leads to over 11% efficiency for inverted small-molecule organic solar cells
To benefit the charge carrier transport, a two-dimensional donor unit, TBDT was selected as the core29. A new ?-bridge, namely, 2-(thiophen-2-yl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene, was designed with two advantages: first, it introduces stronger aromaticity units of thieno[3,2-b]thiophene to increase IP , aiming to increase attainable V . Second, it presents an inner gradient-decreased electron density distribution (Supplementary Fig. 1), benefited for backbone hole transfer.
