The concept of “paradigm” was systematically articulated and popularized by the philosopher of science Thomas Kuhn in The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, published in 1962 [2]. In Kuhn’s view, scientific progress is not a linear accumulation, but a revolutionary leap achieved through paradigm shifts. A paradigm consists of the basic assumptions, theoretical frameworks, research methods, and value standards shared by a scientific community during a particular period.
