When I was a small child, and only briefly. Those things hurt your hands!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't give up! It's easy to let rejection affect you, but you have to keep on doing what you do. Turn each negative into a positive.
What's your favorite drink?
I am predictably English. I don't think you can beat a cup of tea. Failing that, gin is always a welcome sight.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Riding a horse, playing with a dog or eating.

I read so many, it's difficult to choose. New Scientist, BMJ, Lancet, Nature.
