Life as an Introvert in College
College is a fun and exciting time to navigate adulthood and make memories. It can also be an anxiety-induced and stressful journey as you try to get your life together and make something of yourself. For some of us more than others, the anxiety outweighs the excitement. In this case, by ‘some of us’ I’m referring to a specific personality type.
The importance of identity based clubs
Cultural and identity-based clubs are the heart and soul of extra-curricular activities on campus. When I came to the U.S. in 2019 to pursue my undergraduate studies, I had a somewhat decent idea of what college here would be like. Despite my immense exposure to American media, specifically regarding college life, I still experienced culture shock in a variety of aspects. When I attended Cascadia College in Bothell, Washington, the first thing that stood out to me was the identity-based clubs.

I mean who doesn’t enjoy watching people beg for their lives for someone who might be out of their league or for someone who’s not even ready for a relationship? I’ve watched way too many movies within this genre, so coming up with a list of my favorites was difficult, to say the least.

Why did they laugh when that person said it and not me? Aren’t I funny? A key aspect that determines success or a positive reaction to anything you do is the execution.
The Impact of Tiktok on the Music Industry by Zileni Milupi
In the past 3 years or so, the way we consume music has seen a drastic change. This change is largely due to TikTok and its huge influence on viral trends. Before 2019, songs would chart on Billboard Hot 100 largely due to their quality, radio play, overall impact, and popularity. Now any song can chart on billboards depending on its virality on TikTok. The majority of the songs that charted in the top 10 of the charts are popular sounds used on TikTok.
