Have you ever used a typewriter?
Absolutely. I own one. I type invoices on it because it's easier than finding a printer.
How is social media changing news?
I'm honestly not sure. It has certainly "democratized" news but I'm not sure what the end result is going to be. hopefully, not more coups.
What's your favorite social network?
I'm always on Twitter which is a bad website, but I can't stop myself from being on it, so I suppose that means it is my favorite.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
write about something you really, really care about because you're the main person responsible for getting it right.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
oh no. probably on the couch with my wife and cats.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
that sports journalism operates under the same rules as journalism about other topics (ex. politics). it's more like a fiefdom.
