A hot, sweaty mess in the public campgrounds, in the wilds of Northern Ontario, with gangs of chromed-out Harley's and faux-tough bikers getting even sweatier in "tent city" was not my idea of a good time. And I'd been there twice before. My first year, in 2011, I got there late and hid in my RV with the AC on full blast.

www.motorcycle.com — How to Enjoy Most Canada's Most Congested City on Two Wheels This fall, I borrowed a Street Triple from Triumph Canada to ride the streets of Toronto, Ontario in a desperate bid to figure out how to enjoy this traffic blighted city on two wheels. (And yes, as the photos attest it rained on me the whole time. I'm that dedicated.) This might be the hardest thing I've ever had to write about. Anyone who's even been to this sprawling metropolis that Rob Ford, myself and 2.5 million other people call home knows that Toronto has a big problem; mainly, getting people from point A to point B.

But I prefer to think of it as dirt biking. And dirt biking is just plain old fun. Ontario has great opportunities for off-road goodness - everything from gravel roads outside the cities centers, to complex wooded trails systems maintained by local clubs. Ontario Tourism recently put together a two-day tour of one of Ontario's finest off-road riding destinations, the Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System in Mattawa.

This list is highly subjective and is strictly my opinion, but I'd say it's a pretty fair assessment of what's out there. This year, I had the opportunity to get in-depth with a few new areas including Ontario's Southwest, The Great Waterway, Ontario's Highlands and Explorers' Edge, and the more I rode, the more incredible roads I discovered. You'll see some old favourites on this year's list, but over half are newcomers, and this year I'm happy to include the first adventure touring route.
