13-year-old bicyclist dies nearly 2 weeks after being struck by vehicle in Lochearn
A 13-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Lochearn on Aug. 28 has died, Baltimore County police said. Caden Morgan was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Essex Road and Yataruba Drive when he was struck by a 2017 Audi, police said. Morgan was taken to a hospital, where he died Tuesday, nearly two weeks after the crash. The driver of the Audi remained at the scene. The Baltimore County Police Department's Crash Team is investigating.
Maryland organization calls for investigation after clash between ICE agents, protesters in Frederick
The Maryland office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is condemning the conduct of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during an encounter with community members last week in Frederick and calling for an independent investigation. Immigration agents were in the Tasker's Chance area on Sept. 3 and 4. While agents did not make any arrests, they clashed with neighbors who were blocking agents from reaching a home, according to witnesses.
Man dies after being stabbed in North Baltimore, police say
A man died Wednesday evening after he was stabbed in North Baltimore, according to police. Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. to the 5200 block of York Road near Notre Dame Lane, where they found a 48-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Baltimore police have responded to 204 homicides in 2026, compared to 221 at this point in 2025. Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore police at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

3 charged in shooting death of 5-year-old girl in Dorchester County, Maryland
Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting death of a 5-year-old girl in Dorchester County on Aug. 11. After the shooting around 2:15 a.m. at a home in Linkwood, Maryland State Police found 5-year-old Na'Ryah Adams dead from a gunshot wound. Ryan Adams, 30, identified as the girl's father, was critically wounded in the shooting. Anthony D. Harris, 26, of Hurlock, and Wendell A. Wongus III, 23, of Hurlock, are charged with first-degree murder and other related offenses.

Baltimore man sentenced to more than 5 years for setting Hampden house fires
A Baltimore man will serve more than five years in prison for intentionally setting fires at several homes in the city's Hampden neighborhood. Prosecutors said 29-year-old Justin Reeves pleaded guilty to malicious destruction of property by fire Wednesday and was sentenced to 63 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Reeves set fire to a North Baltimore home on May 10, 2025.

A'maree Curbeam was taken into custody Tuesday at a home in Baltimore and is being charged as an adult, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said Curbeam is accused of separately shooting 19-year-old Bryan Burroughs Jr. and 22-year-old Sabien Cherry on April 3 in Edgewood.

Two people were arrested Wednesday evening when Baltimore County police worked to disperse a large crowd causing a disturbance in Towson, according to police officials. Police responded around 9:10 p.m. to the unit block of Allegheny Avenue for a reported disturbance. Officers arrived to find a large gathering and attempted to disperse the crowd. A statement from Baltimore County police said on Thursday that two college-aged males were arrested Wednesday night after officers responded to the scene.
Pikesville apartment residents shocked after double shooting leaves 1 dead
A 41-year-old man was killed and a 32-year-old woman was injured in a double shooting Tuesday night in Pikesville, Maryland, according to Baltimore County police. Officers were called around 11:30 p.m. to the 3000 block of Iron Horse Lane, where the two adults were found with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was taken to a hospital. Her condition is unknown.
