Thermal model of the interaction of a series of ultrashort laser pulses with ZnO:Ag thin films for beam scanning mode
In this work, we present a model that describes the heating of thin zinc oxide films containing silver nanoparticles on a glass substrate under multipulse irradiation with ultrashort laser pulses with beam scanning for the conditions of absorption of radiation by nanoparticles (plasmonic resonance). The model makes it possible to track the temperature changes inside the film and the substrate at different time and spatial scales and gives the full picture of heating.
Semi-empirical approach for evaluating the cooling performance of ytterbium-doped crystals
The use of optical cooling in the process of radiation generation is one of the ways to control the thermal load of laser crystals. The cooling efficiency of ytterbium-doped crystals largely depends on the purity and geometry of the crystal, which are its individual characteristics.
Reentrant multiple-q magnetic order and a “spin meta-cholesteric” phase in Sr3Fe2O7 - npj Quantum Materials
Abstract Topologically nontrivial magnetic structures such as skyrmion lattices are well known in materials lacking lattice inversion symmetry, where antisymmetric exchange interactions are allowed. Only recently, topological multi-q magnetic textures that spontaneously break the chiral symmetry, for example, three-dimensional hedgehog lattices, were discovered in centrosymmetric compounds, where they are instead driven by frustrated interactions.
Modeling of a linear ion trap with driving rectangular waveforms
We consider the operation of a digital linear ion trap with resonant radial ejection. A sequence of rectangular voltage pulses with a dipole resonance signal is applied to the trap electrodes. The periodic waveform is piecewise constant, has zero mean, and is determined by an asymmetry parameter : one value is taken on interval and another on , where is the RF period. Ion mass scanning is performed by varying the asymmetry parameter and amplitude of the negative pulse part with time.
The boundary integral equation describing a curvilinear solid/liquid interface with nonlinear phase transition temperature
1 INTRODUCTION The evolution of the curvilinear liquid-solid interface in the crystallization processes of undercooled melts and supersaturated solutions is responsible for the properties of solidifying materials [1-9]. Thus, for example, the crystallization front displaces a part of the dissolved impurity into the liquid phase and another part of the impurity is absorbed into the solid material during this process. Thus, the melt immediately upstream of the front is enriched with impurity.

The circadian dynamics of the hippocampal transcriptome and proteome is altered in experimental temporal lobe epilepsy
Abstract Gene and protein expressions display circadian oscillations, which can be disrupted in diseases in most body organs. Whether these oscillations occur in the healthy hippocampus and whether they are altered in epilepsy are not known. We identified more than 1200 daily oscillating transcripts in the hippocampus of control mice and 1600 in experimental epilepsy, with only one-fourth oscillating in both conditions.
