The rapid development of industry has enriched people’s lives and propelled social progress. However, this also leads to the discharge of vast quantities of oily wastewater from textile, petrochemicals, chemicals, food processing, and so on [1], [2]. Oily wastewater poses a grave threat to both ecological environment and human health [3]. Consequently, the effective treatment of oily wastewater from various water environments has emerged as a great challenge.
Biofuel production is a promising strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emission. Taking sustainable development and global food shortage in consideration, non-edible feedstock including camelina, food waste, and microalgae are ideal platform for biofuel production [1], [2], [3], [4]. Among them, microalgae, photosynthetic organism capable to convert carbon dioxide into valuable bioproducts using energy of sunlight, are more attractive [5], [6].
