Interview with Daniel Holden and Chris Kerr
Authors of ./code --poetry When did you write the book, and what was the inspiration behind it? DH:./code --poetry is a book me and Chris Kerr started in 2016. I'm a programmer, and Chris is a poet, and ./code --poetry was really just as a fun project to see what would happen if we collaborated on code poetry together.
Aly & AJ | Sisters Doing It For Themselves
“We decided to not write for radio, not write for a label, not write for anyone but ourselves.” – Aly & AJ in PAPER ‘Potential Breakup Song’ was huge. It was loud and bombastic. A moment-defining piece of pop music that vaulted American singers Aly & AJ into the public eye. Listed by Time Magazine as the 9th best song of 2007, the sisters were seemingly living the teenage dream as Disney starlets with a recording contract and millions of sales.
Poetry Review | Tertiary Colours: A Post-Traumatic Verse By Aaron Kent
Poetry as therapy usually produces dull work. It’s function is to aid a person in their recovery or to help them through a difficulty. Insofar as it helps the person writing it, it has value. For the reader though, it can be turgid. Aaron Kent’s Tertiary Colours is anything but. Subtitled A Post-Traumatic Verse, Kent’s pamphlet from independent UK publisher Knives, Forks and Spoons manages to avoid the worst aspects of poetry-as-therapy.
Poem Of The Week | Heirlooms by Aaron Kent
Heirlooms By Aaron Kent Somnambulistic in her house I stole through her cupboards, glued my volarto her heirlooms. I watched the Earth fall from its axis beside her bed, blistered my corneas with the sun on her doorstep. She remained, hair dishevelled, only white cotton on her hips. She pressed her lips to mine, vacuum packed my soft palette and left her scent on me. I want to wear it forever, on every train journey, with every breakdown, in every life.
Question & Answer 1 - Elizabeth Scanlon
When I dove two hundred odd meters below sea level I found creatures that both should and shouldn’t exist, and I knew we should stop playing God. Stop categorising mother nature as if a library book on how to read unicorn dreams, or pull the fantasies from old skulls. I threw myself head first into nuclear remedies and waited for the fall out to firm out, pull me back to that old tin mine town where all my dreams could go to die like my fathers and his fathers and his fathers before him.

Biking the Continential Divide
I am a fine artist from Cincinnati, who has been an avid mountain biker for 17 years. My friend Marty is a bike mechanic, and has been mountain biking even longer than me. About five years ago we started bikepacking, and from there the idea grew to do an epic ride. The dream was to conquer the greatest mountain bike route in the United States, the Great Divide Bike Trail, which stretches 2700 miles from Canada to Mexico along the Continental Divide.
Seasoning Mineral B Pan
Is the strategy for seasoning a mineral B pan the same as as standard cast iron pan? Is the oiling/baking step necessary? Or do you just let the cooking process season it gradually? This is the pan in question: http://www.debuyer.com/en/products/mineral-b-element-round-fry-pan
