3.1 Demographics In total, 118 responses were collected. Two participants were removed as they were physiotherapists rather than doctors and two participants were removed as they were missing responses to all questions leaving a final sample size of 114. Survey completion time was used to assess response feasibility, and all 114 responses had plausible completion times relative to the number of questions (> 3.5 min).

Resumen Painful shoulder syndrome is the third most common reason for consultation due to musculoskeletal disorders in primary health care (PHC). This condition carries significant morbidity and places a considerable burden on higher-level hospitals, mainly due to unnecessary referrals resulting from inadequate initial management. This article proposes a structured framework for managing painful shoulder syndrome from the PHC perspective.
