A WINTER STORM WARNING will go in effect for Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan as well as LaPorte and St. Joseph counties in northern Indiana from 4am Wednesday until 10am Thursday. Heavy, wet lake effect snow will develop late tonight and continue through Thursday morning. 4-6" of snow will be the average in these counties with upwards of 6-8" under the snow bands for longer periods of time. Expect travel issues start as soon as tomorrow morning’s commute and last through the evening.

Steady rain this evening becomes more scattered overnight and it will mix with snow at times. Lows in the middle to lower 30s. Expect a rain/snow mix early Tuesday to transition to mainly snow Tuesday afternoon and evening. It will stick at times with the heaviest falling mainly south of US-6.
