Discussion Different studies have proved that DASH is among the most effective intervention strategies to prevent HTN and reduce its potential complications once it occurs. This study revealed that a great majority (about two-thirds) of the study participants do not adhere to DASH.

STRENGTHS AND LIMITATIONS OF THIS STUDY The study had a high response rate, which increases the reliability of the findings. Appropriate and validated data collection tools were used, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the information gathered. The cross-sectional study design limits the ability to establish a clear cause-and-effect relationship between the variables. It can only show associations, not direct causality.

Factors associated with BPCR Variables that were identified as candidates for multivariable logistic regression in the binary logistic regression model (p<0.25) were: gravidity, parity, maternal occupation, maternal education, access to mass media and frequency of ANC visit, decision-making on obstetrics care seeking, participation in pregnant women’s conferences, knowledge about obstetrics danger signs and hearing the term BPCR.
