Those who oppose data centers will someday regret their short-sighted choices
This article was originally published at The Empowerment Alliance and is re-published here with permission. Not long after the dust settles from the current campaigns, most Americans will shake their heads in disbelief over how data centers were positioned as the villain for the 2026 midterm elections.
The Ramaswamy ‘mom ad’ wasn’t great, but it doesn’t say what critics and media claim it says
Beginning Tuesday night, throughout the day Wednesday and well into Thursday, the world of politics was dominated by outrage from the left and even some on the right about a new ad from the campaign of the Republican Ohio gubernatorial candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, featuring the mother of his Democratic opponent, Amy Acton.

The GOP has one big reason to be optimistic about the midterms | Opinion
As the midterm elections loom and polls forecast heavy Republican losses, the narratives are predictable – Republicans are in panic mode, playing the blame game and already bracing for minority status. To hear some tell it, Republicans should just quit now and try again in 2028, like the trailing team in a blowout softball game invoking the "mercy rule."
Gas Tax Suspensions Offer Temporary Relief. ARC-ES Would Make Affordable Energy Permanent.
Commentary Several states, including Ohio where I live, have reduced or suspended their gas taxes to help motorists better afford filling their tanks while pump prices are elevated, in part due to the Iran war. Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, and Utah have suspended or reduced various gas and diesel taxes, while other states have relaxed regulations in an effort to lower prices. In some states, the relief will last only a few weeks.

Affordable energy is on the ballot in November
Thanks to Trump administration directives, Americans can celebrate ending oppressive and expensive regulations and mandates that have hiked prices across virtually all goods and services. But tragically, we are just a few short weeks away from an election featuring radical socialist-style candidates who, if victorious, will assuredly try to roll back all the gains that have been made.

In the midterms, a side benefit of Republican upsets would be further diminishing the polls
By Gary Abernathy Illustration created with ChatGPT Horse race stories taking precedence over reporting on candidate positions is an example of media malpractice Republicans are far from perfect, but there are many reasons to hope they prevail in this year’s midterm elections — their support of the Trump administration’s efforts to keep the border secure, the hope of codifying affordable, reliable energy into law, and the importance of beating back the rising tide of socialism that is...

Protect your financial security OR pay higher taxes and costs

To punish Trump, the media pledges to make itself even less relevant than it already is
In the ego wars, the media demonstrates that it can actually out-perform the president, which takes a lot Do we have this straight? In order to show solidarity with three news outlets banned from the White House by President Trump, several other networks are binding together in a show of “solidarity” to punish Trump by reducing their coverage of him. Does that about cover it?

How to handle political attacks on data center support? Original
This article was originally published at The Empowerment Alliance and is re-published here with permission. To the average voter, candidates who do an about-face on an issue they were previously proud to own is an obvious sign of weakness. When it comes to data centers, such a turnaround is especially disturbing because defending the facilities is much more logical than attacking them. Don’t take my word for it.
Guaranteeing ARC-ES to tackle our $40 trillion debt
This article was originally published at The Empowerment Alliance and is re-published here with permission. Headlines last month blared the news that the national debt had surpassed the $40 trillion mark, with stories recounting the history of our government routinely spending more than it takes in, and the ensuing accumulation of debt over the course of several decades. The media typically chooses milestone numbers to focus attention on something even when it’s an ongoing issue.

Uncovered: Media’s campaign on whether attacks on data centers are fair

Who’s paying for climate reporting in the mainstream media? Original

Dolly Parton was universally beloved -- which is not easy in this day and age
Dolly Parton (Eagledj, CC BY-SA 4.0 <https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0>, via Wikimedia Commons) I appreciated Dolly Parton’s singing and acting, and especially her songwriting, but I was most impressed by her ability to carve out a niche for herself as a unique character on the world stage, just as I have admired Muhammad Ali, Evel Knievel, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and, of course, Elvis Presley for basically creating personas that are entirely and eternally their own.

Where do candidates stand on energy? Issue is important to us all Original
Whether through paid advertising or free media coverage, political parties and candidates will do their best to create the narrative they hope will motivate voters in the coming midterm elections. The top issues usually include some mix of monetary issues centered on the state of the economy, tax policy or jobs. Other times, social issues lead the way, including abortion, healthcare and education.

As LNG Exports Show, ARC-ES Is Crucial for U.S. and International Energy Stability for Years to Come
This article was originally published at The Empowerment Alliance and is re-published here with permission. Questionable claims are made almost daily when it comes to energy, amplified by compliant media. In particular, the climate change brigade engages in a constant flow of bold assertions designed to convince the world that the demise of fossil fuels is imminent while “renewables” are on a relentless march to supremacy.

Climate crusaders turn to flimsy ‘extreme event attribution’ to bring down oil, gas and coal By Gary Abernathy Earlier this year, the Trump administration removed a chapter on climate change from a manual used by judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys “to better interpret the scientific complexities of the cases before them.” For those of us who don’t believe in coincidence, the response to that removal offers a textbook case of how liberal climate crusaders and their media allies spring...

Renewable energy sources ‘can’t keep up’ with data center demands
This article was originally published at The Empowerment Alliance and is re-published here with permission. The political left is worried that the rapid expansion of data centers across the U.S. – a controversial but necessary development considering our competition with China – is increasingly accompanied by the corresponding construction of stand-alone natural gas plants to provide the power demands of the centers. In Ohio, 10 gas-fired power plants are in the works to fuel new data centers.

Trump will never be widely admired. That's the price he'll pay for preserving freedom's last stand on earth.
Updated. President Trump is routinely criticized for his gargantuan ego and his often insulting demeanor. A constant refrain even among many of his supporters is that they mostly approve of the things Trump does, but wish he would be more personally measured in the way he does them. By now, we all — supporters, detractors and those few who occupy the in-between lane — accept the fact that such hopes are misplaced.
Left insists for U.S. that people live smaller lives but they ‘don’t do that’ Original
This article was originally published at The Empowerment Alliance and is re-published here with permission. A few years ago, my wife and I bought a new washer and dryer. We were convinced by the salesperson to buy a set that promised energy efficiency for the dryer and, for the washer, better cleaning using less water. You know what happened. In the name of “efficiency,” our clothes, towels, blankets and other items came out barely damp and far from clean.
