A new AI capability that delivers analysis-ready Media Intelligence. More than just a product launch, this is a shift in how communications teams monitor, understand and act on media coverage.
We started Substack because we believe that what you read matters and that good writing is valuable.
We believe that writers, bloggers, thinkers, and creatives of every background should be able to pursue their curiosity, generating income directly from their own audiences and on their own terms.
When readers pay writers directly, writers can focus on doing the work they care about most. A few hundred paid subscribers can support a livelihood. A few thousand makes it lucrative.
Readers win, too. By opting into direct relationships with writers, we can be more selective with how we consume information, homing in on the ideas, people, and places we find most meaningful. Source
If you enjoy this story, liking and sharing it helps me reach a wider audience. Becoming a subscriber is a great way to support my work, and becoming a paying subscriber is even better! Paying subscribers enable me to offer these longer, research-informed stories for free, and they get full access to my series of “interruptions” — short reflections on simple ways we can interrupt white patriarchal narratives. I married for love.
If you read my premium article from last week, you know the Oregon Ducks were potentially circling three massive commitments Wednesday - even if, at the time, one of those top recruits hadn’t yet set a commitment date. Less than 24 hours until the big day and it’s becoming clear that the prediction is holding strong. I expect Oregon to land three monster pledges Wednesday - and the details are emerging.
The Vancouver Canucks enter free agency without any pressure as they expect (and want) to bottom out again next season. That doesn’t mean they should be passive on July 1. General manager Ryan Johnson can still target players who could be flipped at next year’s deadline, or those who might be on the cusp of a breakout. With the salary cap significantly increasing and the free agency talent pool looking bleak, the prices are likely to be insane.
The ONLY way our party will defy history and win the midterm elections is by listening to grassroots voters like YOU. You have your finger on the pulse of the MAGA movement, and you know better than anyone what our party needs to do to persuade voters to turnout in November. Because at the end of the day, that’s all it takes.
As the popularity of self-catering city holidays took off, property investors snapped up places across the French capital, turning former family homes into luxury rentals – at twice or even three times the previous rent. The main thrust of the city’s crackdown on the sudden housing shortage has been to reduce the number of holiday lets and make the business less attractive to property owners.
Earlier this week, I sent fake Bible verses to bigoted men praising Texas’s decision to require Bible readings in public schools. You’ll need to read that post before reading this bonus material to understand all of this post. It would hardly be fair to keep the rest of the men’s wisdom from you. Especially when one happens to be a man of God. This is a paid subscriber bonus post. Subscribe below or subscribe at a discounted rate here: 25% off, 50% off, 75% off, 90% off
On the one hand, yes, it is very nice that the Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration’s BLATANTLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL order to unilaterally end the constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship. This is nice in the same way that it is nice when a person walking past you on the street doesn’t pull out a gun and shoot you. The Court’s majority followed the Constitution. Yay. Let the celebrations begin. Give each of the six justices in the majority a cookie.
What do I tell my daughters about love and beauty and their worth as human beings first, image bearers of God, then as women, potential wives and bearers of children? To transpose my own experiences and thought patterns as a young woman onto them and say, “I turned out alright,” is not good enough. I lived in one cultural moment, and they will live in another. They inhabit their unique bodies, I am confined to my own.
The second of two big decision days at SCOTUS brought us a few more major decisions. Below is a short summary. Then over the next few days — possibly stretching over the next few weeks — I will go back to recent cases I think are most significant and dive deeper into them. By far the most significant and consequential ruling of this term, invalidating one of Donald Trump’s January 2025 executive orders. Trump v. Barbara says the 14th amendment stands.
