What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job as a journalist was ghostwriting for a DIY blog, but my first credited work occurred at Dualshockers.
How is social media changing news?
Social Media is making the news cycle 24/7 in a way it never quite managed before. In addition, it is opening up who can reach an audience.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Slack, Asana, Canva, and Grammarly are all useful tools to use while writing.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a Journalist because I enjoy learning and then sharing information. I also love writing, so making it a career is a dream come true.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I didn't work for my high school newspaper, but I was the Design Editor and later Lead Editor of our yearly Literature Magazine.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Typically the best time to pitch to me is in the evening, as I rarely check my email or phone while actively working.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
It has to be the initial pitch to write on Baldur's Gate 3. I wasn't planning to play the game before that and would've regretted it.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
The worst pitch I've ever received was to review the products offered by a grocery chain with no locations where I lived.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
When not on my computer, you're most likely to find me reading a book or trying out a new recipe.
