Suspected bandits have killed four farmers and abducted at least 12 others in a broad daylight attack on Gandi District in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The attack occurred on Tuesday while the victims were working on farmlands located on the outskirts of the community. Confirming the incident, a resident of Gandi, Malam Tukur Muhammad, said the attack took place on his farmland, which he had stopped cultivating due to persistent insecurity in the area.

No fewer than 10 people sustained injuries as residents of Chirif Magaji and Chirif Dikko communities in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State clashed over a disputed farmland. The two communities have reportedly been locked in a disagreement over ownership and use of the farmland for nearly three years. However, the conflict escalated into violence on Tuesday, resulting in multiple casualties.
