(KKTV) -Ahead of Armed Forces Day, two local nonprofit organizations are working to ensure that our community stands beside those who are serving our country by addressing one of the biggest challenges young military families and veterans face: hunger. This Saturday is Armed Forces Day. It is a day to honor active-duty service members in our nation’s military, many of whom live right here in the Pikes Peak region.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Wednesday afternoon, the Colorado Springs City Planning Commission gave the initial greenlight for a re-zoning of land by The Classical Academy Central Campus near the Shops at Briargate. Blackburn Communities is working to build a six story multi-family housing project in the area of Springcrest Road and Voyager Parkway. The undeveloped land covers nearly eight acres.
