Adam Gant is a Victoria-based real estate professional and advisor with experience in housing finance systems and real estate development. He has worked across residential, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, land development and senior care sectors throughout his career. Adam’s investment knowledge spans privately held real estate funds and public real estate investment vehicles.
Adam got into real estate in his early twenties after moving to Victoria to train with Canada’s National Rowing Team. This move marked significant milestones in his athletic and professional pursuits. It was during this time that he bought his first property, launching a career in real estate investment and development.
Adam has studied Engineering Physics at the University of British Columbia. The drive for continual learning propelled him to pursue executive education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied Mergers and Acquisitions and Financial Management. In addition, Adam became a CFA Charterholder in 2022 after completing the level 3 exam.
Adam has shown interest in new ways to finance housing throughout his career. His academic research on global mortgage markets, most notably in Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and Singapore, has influenced his thinking on transferring the successes of these housing programs to the North American market. Now, he advises multiple real estate groups on capital structure and funding strategies, covering all aspects of acquisition, finance, development, and management to create value and maximize liquidity.
Adam is also involved in philanthropy apart from his professional work. He has been actively involved with setting up the Silhouette Foundation, which will be focused on reducing statelessness. He has co-authored a book with the organization’s founder, Vaden Earle, which centers around their humanitarian work in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
Adam was driven by his passion for fitness from a young age, which stemmed from his years as an athlete and continues today, through activities such as cycling and hiking. He is a family man living in Victoria with his wife and three young sons.
